About Ora
Ora G. Walters is a skilled broadcast technical director and motion designer with a passion for live event production and video broadcasting.
She began her career as a video apprentice at the Digital Corps and later worked as a camera operator for ESPN3/Cardinal Vision. With Black Belt certification in broadcast software like Chyron Prime, as well as post-production software including Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro, Ora is a valuable asset to any production team. Previously employed as a Technical Director with KCCI, a Hearst Television station in Des Moines, Iowa, where she oversaw the technical aspects of live broadcasts with exceptional skills, attention to detail, and a dedication to quality that made her a respected member of the KCCI team.
In 2023, Ora embarked on a new chapter as she moved to Duluth, MN to join Northern News Now as a Director. This involved not just broadcast direction, but photography and video editing as well. She’s since become a Technical Media Producer. In her new role, she adds master control to her responsibilities, showcasing her exceptional talent and dedication to delivering high-quality content. When she’s not performing her duties as assigned, Ora goes above and beyond by designing new Chyron Prime graphics featured on-air in every show. Her work is essential to bringing a high-quality product to this media market.
